My daughter has been helping me test some physical models on a small home set-up, if I’m lucky enough to make the prize money places I think I’m going to have to share it!
For 2024 to keep up the excitement and make it more interesting for those earlier in their learning journey some form of handicap system like in horse racing might be beneficial to avoid the same people qualifying with ease.

I’d like to show our Eviden leadership the opportunities DeepRacer provides as an entry to AI/ML learning and rollout a global competition for our own staff and get some of them to re:Invent next year!

Excited to be coming into the 2023 championship as the 2023 Virtual Global Season Title Holder/Champion.
I was very close to being on the podium last year and hope to be the physical champion this year. I’ve started training again on my ‘garage track’ – a track made in my garage using exercise tiles and gaffe tape – I’m going to be doing some linkedin posts in the lead up re:invent showing my training space.
I’m AWS certified with other certs, but about to receive my AWS Machine Learning Specialty cert right before re:invent. I’ve been leading the research and POCs of Gen AI applications within my company, and my experience with Deepracer has been very beneficial toward those endeavors.
Also, I’m looking forward to give back to the Deepracer and AWS ML community.

A total tech freak with passion for learning and play with new stuff (VR, 3D printers, AI/ML stuff…). I was member of a “white hat” hacklab at our city. Photography (cosplay photo oriented setup). Video editing. Videogames (Final Fantasy XIV, Destiny 2, sim-racing games like Forza or Gran Turismo…). I also play the electric guitar in my spare time with some british rock inspiration (Muse, Royal Blood…). Movies and TV shows (especially going to the cinema or theater with my gf). I’d like to get to top 8, but the competition is incredibly strong and I don’t have a good model ready yet for either the virtual race or the physical race. However, I do look forward to chatting with the rest of the community in person and attending some of the sessions.
What are your hobbies outside of DeepRacer?
I enjoy watching educational Youtube videos for entertainment and playing an occasional casual video game. I also enjoy coding various personal machine learning projects and tinkering with electronics when I have free time. Lastly, I like taking a light jog at the park to get some fresh air and exercise a few times a week.
