AWS DeepRacer Women’s League India

We would like to announce and ask you to share information about the AWS DeepRacer Women’s League India. If you’re a female student in India, join a series of events that will introduce you to DeepRacer and the world of AWS Reinforcement Learning offering and let you participate in the qualifying races which will end with a live final race streamed on Twitch.

Read on for more info.

Details / Where to register / T&Cs

You will find all the details and the registration form here:

The initiative is being carried out through the AWS Educate platform, organisers will support you in gaining access to the right resources.

Open to women who are at least 18 years of age and currently enrolled with an academic institution in India.

Key dates and events

  • 5th April 2021, 11:59:59 IST – end date for registrations
  • 21st April 2021, 12:00-2:00PM IST – the final race

There are no more details on the dates which most likely means that after the registration closes you will be given details on how to gain access to and complete the Machine Learning Scientist Career pathway and then obtain the AWS DeepRacer badge (these are self-paced so I would not expect fixed dates). Next, you will participate in a series of community race qualifiers (they usually span a couple days and you don’t have to sit and keep tracking them, you’ll learn how to participate through the courses in AWS Educate).

Help and support

Join the AWS DeepRacer ML Community Slack where you can interact with other participants in channel #womens-deepracer-league-2021.

I wholeheartedly recommend also asking questions to the non-participating part of the Community. The main motivation for the Community’s existence and activity is supporting each other with AWS DeepRacer racing. Great channels to start are #getting-started and #aws-deepracer.
