Announced at re:Invent 2019, the Evo is the latest generation of the AWS DeepRacer hardware that adds stereo vision and LIDAR capabilities. Recently AWS kindly sent me an update kit to play with and so I’d thought I’d share the excitement with you all!
In this video guide I walk through the key components in the Evo upgrade kit (available on Amazon.com for $149) and show you how to attach them to your car. It’s a pretty easy process and once complete you’ll be able to practice for object avoidance and head-to-head races!
