We are a Community of AWS AI and ML Enthusiasts
The AWS DeepRacer Community was founded by Lyndon Leggate following the AWS London Summit 2019, initially bringing together AWS DeepRacer enthusiasts who wanted to keep the conversation going after the event. What started as a group of reinforcement learning racers sharing tips and ideas has grown into something much broader, and is today known as the AWS AI/ML Community, reflecting broader topics beyond our DeepRacer beginnings.
Today we’re a diverse, global community of builders, competitors, and learners who share a passion for AWS AI and ML services. Our members participate in the AWS AI League — building and competing with agentic AI systems — as well as AWS DeepRacer, the world’s first global autonomous racing league. We cover a wide range of topics from large language models and fine-tuning to reinforcement learning and computer vision.
We’ve become one of AWS’s most successful community groups, with direct lines of communication to various AWS teams. That’s a testament to the members who diligently share knowledge, answer questions, and contribute to making the community a great place for beginners and experts alike.
